4

MetaStock

Very rarely, historical data of some symbol(s) get corrupt and does not load history properly.

1. Press 'Refresh' button in charts.

2. If above does not work, select File>>Open in MetaStock and nativate to 'Local Data' >>DataOnDemand Cache folder and delete the symbol (this deletes the history of that symbol from MetaStock). Once done, close the dialogue box by pressing Cancel and click on Refresh button in that  chart. This will instantly load the symbol from nimbleDataPrpPlus Desk.

3. If step 2 above loads only 1-2 days data then delete the Symbol from Desk first and then follow step 2 above.

This behaviour is noticed only in MetaStock. If you open same symbol in any other charting platform in same session (like AmiBroker, Advanced Get) i.e. without logging off, the same symbol instantly loads with correct data from our application - which means that this is some local issue associated with MetaStock.

Since this happens rarely, it is difficult to say why this happens. While we will try our best to find a workaround, at this point of time, we have no control on this occasional MetaStock behaviour.

5

NinjaTrader

When any symbol is opened in NinjaTrader for the first time, it loads with incorrect last candle. Next time onwards (when that symbol has some historical data in NinjaTrader), chart opens correctly.

Right click on the chart and select 'Reload Historical Data'. This will load the chart properly.

If you open same symbol in any other charting platform in same session (like AmiBroker, Advanced Get) i.e. without logging off, the same symbol instantly loads with correct data for last as well as all candles.

This appears to be a bug (unless this is some setting issue) in NinjaTrader 6.5. While we will try our best to find a workaround, at this point of time, we have no control on this NinjaTrader behaviour.

Reload Historical Data does not work reliably everytime. The dialogue box hangs or gives error.

If this happens, you will need to try 'Reload Historical Data' few more times or restart NinjaTrader.

This is a known issue in NinjaTrader. Read :
